I recently started to create a Chaos Dwarf warband for Mordheim. Rather than extensively convert the warband, like I did with my Sister's of Sigmar warband, I wanted to create this one using old miniatures from the 80s, leaning into the Oldhammer theme. Last month I trimmed and assembled the first three models for the warband. This month I continued the process and added three more dwarves to the warband!

This Chaos Dwarf sorcerer will serve as the leader of the Mordheim warband. His helm is very reminiscent of a questing knight of Bretonnia. |

Surprisingly, the Chaos Dwarf sorcerer is carrying a fragmentation grenade. Weird and seemingly out of place details are often a hallmark of the Oldhammer range of models. |

The Marauder line of Chaos Dwarf models was surprisingly varied and interesting. This model is the only one carrying a scimitar-type sword. |

This model wields a mighty ball and chain into battle. I wonder if the weapon would look more menacing if it had some additional spikes? |

I sculpted flagstones to add to the bases for each of the models. |

I filled the bottom of the bases with Tamiya Quick Type putty. I find this gives the bases a nice weight to them and provides more attachment area when gluing in pins for pinning the models. |
