I am the Law. |
We discuss the new products Games Workshop previewed at the UK Games Expo 2019, talking about the newest Necromunda gang, the Palanite Enforcers. We also talk about how GW has a tendency to create models that have awkwardly posed legs that are often overly muscled in relationship to the rest of the model, which is evident on the new Enforcers and some of the new Blackstone Fortress models that were also revealed.

How do they shoot up?
ReplyDeleteHe he, it is hard to know.
DeleteExcellent episode, as usual, gentlemen. I mostly agree with your comments--the best models are probably the Wood Elf BB team, really very nice and useful. I don't quite know what to make of the Warcry birdmen; I don't know if I like or really hate them--either way they are probably the best Warcry figures so far (not saying much). I'm also unsure about the Enforcers. When I saw the preview figure I liked it but I assumed it was a Primaris scout or something. OVerall I had a positive impact on first seeing them but the more I look at them the more I question if I like them or not. And having just put together a Van Saar model (for my son) I can confidently assure you that I will NOT be buying any more Necromunda models--awful models. Old school metals only!
ReplyDeleteAnyway I enjoyed the podcast--which is the main thing!
Sorry to hear about your experience with the Van Saar models, the kits are a little hit or miss...
DeleteThere were just so many parts, which makes no sense because it was a set pose--you couldn't change the pose without converting it, so why have it in--I think--13 fiddly poorly fitting together pieces. Just baffling. Bit I think it proves the point you make that the B Team are working on these figures (though it is slightly mystifying there isn't more expertise sharing going between GW and Specialist Games, or the toolmakers, surely the same toolmakers are the same on each project and they don't have separate plastic moulding sections for GW and FW).
