Dragged into Turbolasers Episode 15: 2017 begins!
|
Let the Galaxy Burn! |
It is hard to believe, but 2016 is over, and that means this podcast is already a year old! We talk a little about our thoughts about reaching this milestone and what the future holds. We also speak briefly about 2016 in terms of our blog Between the Bolter and me, and how we got more involved in the community than ever before. We end the episode talking about the new Fall of Cadia event and what it could mean for Warhammer 40k as a whole. We also talk at length about the new special character models that are being released with the book.

Well you where the first and still are the only podcast I listen to but that's just me being late to the party of podcasts ;)
ReplyDeleteStill I do enjoy the content as you serve a varied and unfiltered view on things. So continue with that please!
As for the triumvirate of minis it's the Admech I like the most but then how can you go wrong with them now. They're grimdark as f. I agree that the Sisters looks great but I was never a fan of the seraphim, more the bolter and flamer for the boots on the grounded type of guy myself. So I hope still that we'll see a plastic reboot of Sisters this year (my wallet doesn't though).
I am glad you are enjoying the podcast in its present form! We will keep doing it, and continue trying to improve it.
DeleteI also am not a huge fan of the seraphim jetpacks. But they seem like a good sign that the normal sisters are coming and will be good. I hope they keep their variant of the flamer and are not just given the SM one.
Well done guys and congrats on the first year of your podcast. Cant wait to see what this year brings us!
ReplyDeleteThanks for continuing to listen to them! 2017 should be a strong year!
DeleteHappy first year for the podcast!I think your idea for the podcast should continue as is but that may just be because I am conservative in that matter ;)
ReplyDeleteCelestine and the Geminae are great (Those metallic wings must be heavy).
Belisarius is burdened with bionics, cybernetics and mechandrites, not too good as a model but great for bitz gathering and converting.
Greyfax is my personal favorite minus the bolter crossbow! Those heels are a bit much but I remember reading that she was heavily inspired by John Blanche's Inquisitor Sketchbook.
Sorry for the ramble, great podcast as always!
We will continue the podcast in much the same way that we have been, as there seems to be a lot of support for it! We will still probably try to get some more people on to interview though!
DeleteI think all the new characters have a lot of potential for conversions, which is pretty exciting! They cannot be released soon enough!
Great episode, thanks for going to the effort with this stuff.
ReplyDeleteIt would be great if you managed to get 2 podcasts per month. Maybe you could achieve that but changing up the format. For example, one episode just about that months new releases, then the other episode about your personal modelling projects. Or gaming.
I would like to hear some discussion of game mechanics in as much detail as the modelling discussions in at least a few episodes, just as a suggestion! ;)
We will do our very best to get a second podcast in each month! The idea of spending more time talking about game mechanics is an interesting one that we will have to consider. I have thought a lot about different rule systems for playing narrative games recently, which might be a good topic too.
